The Construction of Stoffer

These are photos of Stoffer Science Hall under construction. At top (right) is the west end of Stoffer where the lobby and planetarium will be located. The east end of Stoffer (2nd from top) shows only the first and second floors. An obviously later picture of construction (third from top) shows the planetarium is taking shape. The framing of the lobby and the steps in the ST101 lecture hall floor (second from bottom) can be seen with Rice Hall in the background. Rice Hall no longer exists, having been demolished during the tornado in 1966. Stoffer's first and second floors are taking shape (bottom). These photos are all courtesy of Mabee Library archives.
